Cao Yunding is a Chinese football coach who has been involved in coaching several teams including Shanghai Shenhua and Jiangsu U-21, which have made him well-known for his expertise in youth development. Born on February 7th, 1968, Cao Yunding began his career as a player before making his way to management roles. In 1994, Cao Yunding joined Jiangsu U-21 where he played with the club until 1997 when he moved to Shanghai Shenhua where he was appointed as head coach in 2005. In 2006, he left Shanghai Shenhua after a poor season and returned to Jiangsu U-21 where he served as the head coach from 2007 to 2008. During his time at Jiangsu U-21, Cao Yunding was known for his focus on developing young talent. He also emphasized the importance of discipline and teamwork, which helped the team win numerous championships and titles over the years. In 2008, Cao Yunding returned to Shanghai Shenhua where he led the club to their first-ever Premier League title. Under his leadership, the team won the league twice and finished as champions in both seasons. The success under his guidance allowed the club to make a strong comeback in the domestic league and eventually reach the UEFA Champions League final in 2011. Since then, Cao Yunding has continued to be a key figure in the coaching world, overseeing several successful clubs such as Jiangsu U-21 and Shanghai Shenhua.
